Abstract

|
|
The enzymes α-amylase and glucoamylase used in starch hydrolysis were found active in the supercritical carbon dioxide solvent. Higher hydrolysis of starch slurry in supercritical CO_2 was achieved by operating the reactor for the first two hours with α-amylase and to subsequent addition of glucoamylase for continued hydrolysis.
